I have the patience to find the right guy, online dating is for the impatient. I’m not in a hurry to fall in love but I do like messaging back and forth and having casual conversation with a guy because there’s no pressure if we both just want to have a little fun via txt. Personally I find them to be a bit frustrating, as there is no real “buy in” or connection made.
I have a few dating apps (Grindr, Jackd, Scruff, etc)…and often I find that conversation can be fast and furious at the inception, but quickly dies off when anyone mentions meeting for a drink in person.
However, if someone who is NOT a member likes your profile or picture, it automatically generates a "message" to you. And if you DO sign up and send a message, unless THEY are a member, all they will get is an ever increasing number in the "inbox" icon. I guess the upside is that if you send a message and don't get a response, there is a 50/50 chance that they aren't a member and not that they don't like you.I haven’t had any success finding a guy close to “Mr.Right” so I’ll just leave it to meeting friends through friends or have the casual run-in. Like I said there’s a mobile app I use and I can casually flip through pictures/ profiles and message them at my leisure.Unfortunately, that's a common scam that affects a lot of people, even people who are very smart, intelligent, and successful." And this will continue to make that 'inbox" look fuller and maybe they will join. The messages I did get all seemed to come from someone who found somebody on this site but had a friend who saw my profile over their shoulder and really thinks we'd hit it off. About 20 minutes later I came across another profile for a different person, but the EXACT (word for word) description of what they like.
